PDR Training Feedback

Having carried out a lot of research on PDR, I was quite confident that I’d made the right choice choosing Dentrix. This has definitely been confirmed now that I have completed the course. Excellent in every respect, very clear and concise instruction from John with excellent demonstration and delivered in a fun manner which holds your attention. John is obviously a highly skilled professional and it is very reassuring that his knowledge, skilled and experience is the foundation for learning this new skill and developing my business. The training venue has everything you need, even a punch bag to vent your frustration! John’s abilities are absolutely outstanding. I thought, I can do that, get the tools in your hands and it all goes to buggery!! It really took until Thursday and just a helpful hint from John while doing my test, things came together for me. I know you could fault my test work but for me it was the best I had done. It’s then you realise what John has been trying to teach you. It takes absolute patience, concentration and determination. Johns a top geeza, a really good teacher and very patient. Didn’t spent hours talking us through it, he showed us and then let us get stuck in and make the most our time. It was a pleasure to learn from someone who is at the top of the game and someone who is so passionate about their work. 5 days is ample, its true what John says, you don’t need the 2 or 3 week courses, you just need to learn the basic skills behind PDR, a 3 week course is a waste of money. Once you have your basic skills then it’s time to go home and practice in your own time for free. I must admit the first day [oh **** Monday] was a really depressing day. I only then realised then how hard PDR is. The further into the week I got, the more confidence I had towards PDR. Come Friday I was full of confidence and really excited about my future in PDR.

 

It was also nice to go out to the pub with John and his wife for a few pints and the best burger I have ever had. Was great to speak with John away from the training venue and made us closer as a training group and I think helped us progress faster. I am soon to be the proud owner of a dent puller kit. I had never heard of dent pulling before the course, it’s fantastic. It was great to try it out on a real car with old paint, it was great to see the different stresses you can put the paint under before it comes off in your hand!

During my resettlement process I came across Dentrix Ltd, a truly professional owned and run company with many years of experience in there field of Paintless Dent Removal. The 5 day training course that I attended in February 2008 was very worth while. You are trained on the basics of Dent Removal and the tools associated with it, which gives you a great understanding and the appreciation on how difficult PDR can be. But with the guidance from

I believe that the Submarine Service is a true specialisation, and you receive the rewards associated to it. The same is to be said for PDR, it is also a specialisation within the Smart Repair Industry with more rewards than most of us can imagine.

Having spoken to John and weighed up the other courses that were available I can honestly say that I made the right decision when I chose Dentrix. After many hours practicing at home I took on my first paying job at the end of January and now at the end of February I have found myself in demand. Working on a real car gets you ready for what’s really going to happen and how to deal with these situations. I came on this course believing that I would be able to go out removing dents straight away, but now understand, dent removal is a skill that takes time to learn and with Johns training I do believe I will be removing dents in a few months with practice.

This was a most enjoyable week. John was a great tutor; he was honest and very professional, with being approachable, a very educational week. All my questions were answered fully. Working on a real car did excellent, “hands on experience” have to think about the best approach regarding access and damaged areas etc. Being able to work under different lighting conditions was also valuable training in my opinion.
